Gordon Ramsay responds as daughter Holly announces engagement to Adam Peaty

Gordon Ramsay has responded to the happy news that his daughter Holly is engaged to Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty.

Holly said her new fiancé was her ‘best friend’ as she confirmed the news in a lovely Instagram post.

She wrote: “I truly cannot put into words how I am feeling right now. I still remember how big my smile was the morning I got home from my first date with you.

“Thank you for letting the little girl inside of me feel loved, seen and happier than ever. I love you & I cannot wait to be your wife.

“I promise to always be there with you and George, I’m so greatful to be in his life and I cannot wait for more.

“Everything is better with you. Everything has been better since you. Here’s to forever.”

Now dad Gordon has said: “Congratulations to you both! We’re over the moon and enjoy this moment! Welcome to the family Adam Peaty.”

Peaty made a post of his own where he described bride-to-be Holly as a ‘gentle, caring and beautiful woman’.

He wrote: “You have been with me when I’ve been at my lowest and helped me understand myself to navigate my own darkness.

“You have also celebrated the highs which have been so many, as for the first time in my life, I’m happy with the man I’ve become.

“Your family have always treated me so generously with their time, emotion and trust. I can’t wait to be joined with them too.

“I’ve always believed that when two people are engaged and later married that we are no longer two people but we join as one and it’s the biggest privilege to share that with you.”

It sounds like it’s going to be a very happy marriage, and all seems well in the world of Ramsay.

The Olympic swimmer recently claimed a silver medal at the Paris 2024 games, rounding out his Olympic medal tally at six with equal numbers of silver and gold.

Peaty actually appeared in Strictly Come Dancing in the same season as his fiance’s sister Tilly.

She got further than he did as Peaty and dance partner Katya Jones were the sixth couple to go, while Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin were the ninth out of the competition.

It was the series that ended in victory for Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice, with one of the couple’s particularly notable dances to ‘Symphony’ cutting out the sound in a memorable TV moment.Featured Image Credit: hollyramsayy via Instagram / (Photo by Alessio Morgese/NurPhoto via Getty Images)

Gordon Ramsay reveals what really caused harrowing cycling accident that left him looking like ‘purple potato’

Gordon Ramsay was involved in a terrifying bike accident earlier this year

Gordon Ramsay has finally opened up on what caused his terrifying cycling accident which left him with painful injuries.

Earlier in year, Ramsay, 57, revealed that he’d been left which some pretty gnarly bruises after suffering an incident while out on his bike in Connecticut.

Thankfully, the accident didn’t leave him with severe or life-changing injuries however the Kitchen Nightmares star was left pretty shaken up by it, sharing his extensive bruising in a video clip and urging his followers to take bike safety seriously. He even posted an image of his crushed up helmet to drive the point about bike safety home.

“I don’t care how short the journey is… I don’t care that they cost money, they’re crucial,” Ramsay said, crediting his helmet for saving his life.

He added: “I’m lucky to be standing here. I am in pain, it’s been a brutal week. I’m sort of getting through it, but I cannot tell you the importance of wearing a helmet.”

The chef has now opened up about his accident in detail during an interview with Men’s Health magazine, revealing exactly what happened on that fateful day.

Ramsay explained that he had been cycling downhill when the front wheel of his bicycle caught in a pothole, which caused him and the bike to spin ‘180 degrees’ in the air. Most likely shaken up from what had just happened, he attempted to fix his bike and continue riding.

It wasn’t until he discovered that his helmet was completely broken and that he was bleeding.

“I honestly thought I was going to pass out,” the 57-year-old said.

After informing his assistant, Justin Mandel, about the accident, Ramsay was taken to hospital to be checked over where he was fortunate to not have suffered any broken bones.

His injuries seemed to be limited to swelling and the giant ‘purple potato’ like bruise seen on the left side of his torso during the video he uploaded on social media.

Despite being fortunate enough to not have suffered any life-changing injuries, Ramsay was left in extreme pain for the following weeks and had to rely on his assistant for tasks such as getting dressed in the morning.

“I couldn’t even put my f**king socks and pants on. Justin [Mandel], he used to dress me in the morning,” he recalled.

“I felt like a f**king 95-year-old man. Asking a 30-year-old kid to put my f**king underpants on was embarrassing.”

Gordon Ramsay accused of 'daylight robbery' over £19 full English breakfast compared to 'service station' food

Gordon Ramsay accused of ‘daylight robbery’ over £19 full English breakfast compared to ‘service station’ food

“Where’s the other half of the breakfast?”

Gordon Ramsay has come under fire for a less than impressive full English breakfast served at one of his restaurants.

Celebrity chef Ramsay owns several eateries around the world but it seems that, according to one customer of his Bread Street Kitchen & Bar, his fry up breakfast is a little lacklustre.

Known for his foul-mouthed tirades during his TV appearances, Ramsay has been on the receiving end of some criticism after Twitter/X user @silviotattiscon posted a picture of what looks like a rather disappointing full English.

The meal, priced at £19, appears to consist of one sausage, two poached eggs, beans, one tomato, one mushroom, two bacon rashers and one single, lonely hash brown.

“Bread Street Kitchen, a Gordon Ramsey [sic] restaurant, yours for £19,” the customer captioned the shot.

The picture sparked some online outrage, with many claiming they could do better than Ramsay’s dish and others comparing the fry up to ‘motorway service station’ food.

“I could do better than that. £19 is daylight robbery,” one person commented, with another noting: “Our local cafe & sandwich shop gives you double that for half that price.”

Many insisted the poster had been ‘robbed’ for ‘dreadful’ and ‘massively overpriced’ food, with one user jokingly asking: “Where’s the other half of the breakfast?”

While it seems that Ramsay’s fry up has left some customers disappointed, the chef himself has recently shared some pearls of wisdom to avoid a terrible experience next time you’re dining out.

The Hell’s Kitchen star was adamant you should always be wary of the special board, particularly if there are several options on there.

“Specials are there to disappear throughout the evening. When they list 10 specials that’s not special,” Ramsay said.

He also said to take any ‘suspicious boasts’ about the quality of the food with a pinch of salt. Buzzwords like ‘famous’ or ‘best in the country’ on any restaurant’s menu always set Ramsay’s alarm bells off and leave him wondering: “Who said that? Who named that?”

The chef then revealed a lesser-known trick to get a decent quality wine without breaking the bank whilst you’re eating out.

Ramsay suggested to ask for the ‘bin end’ list, which normally consists of bottles with scratched labels or vintages that haven’t sold well.

If you opt for a bottle of whatever wine is recommended and priced under $30 (about £24), this should guarantee you to get an under appreciated drink without going bankrupt.

Gordon Ramsay speaks out on massive age gap between his children as he reveals secret to his marriage

Gordon Ramsay speaks out on massive age gap between his children as he reveals secret to his marriage

Gordon Ramsay is very different to his on-screen personality

Arguably the most famous and foul-mouthed chef of all-time, Gordon Ramsay is known for his intimidating demeanour, but it may not be entirely accurate.

The multi-Michelin starred chef is known for being a family man away from the kitchen and screen, having six children with his wife Tana.

Ramsay revealed all on the secrets behind a successful marriage and the challenges of having children whose ages are so far apart.

The Hell’s Kitchen star spoke about what it’s like to have four grown-up children, a toddler and a baby, and how he compares the experiences, though he may not be leaving any of his fortune to them.

Ramsay has six kids; Megan, 26, Holly, 24, Jack, 24, Tilly, 22, Oscar, five, and Jesse, six months.

Despite admitting to People that his wife is ‘an amazing mum’, he claimed that he is a better dad with his two younger children, saying: “If I had to self critique, I know I’m better because I’ve got experience now.

“I think we’ve done a good job so far with the first four,” he explained.

Overall, Ramsay thinks that there are mostly benefits with having children that have an age gap.

The chef said: “The second part of this family with the other two little ones, I think they’re in a great position because they’re getting educated a lot earlier from their bigger, older siblings, and they’re fascinated with their careers.”

His daughter Megan works in the Metropolitan Police in London, while his son Jack is in the Royal Marines.

The 57-year-old said that his five-year-old understands the importance of the jobs of his older siblings, even trying to put his older brother’s green beret on.

The chef has been married to wife Tana since 1996, also revealing how they have made it work for the best part of 30 years amid their busy schedules.

“Date nights are crucial, whether it’s the cinema, whether it’s going out for a drive. We have a little time, but it’s quality, and so that is really important,” he said.

Ramsay insisted it doesn’t have to be a weekend: “Everyone thinks Monday is the most boring day. It’s not.

“With a young family, we are grabbing moments, and that date night moment is crucial.”

The small getaways and sliver of alone time that they get here and there has been essential in helping the marriage last as long as it has, with it becoming one of their favourite ways to spend time together.

He revealed that the latest instances of this was when they went up to Nottingham to see their daughter Tilly at university.

The couple shared a walk on campus before having a dinner at a two-Michelin star restaurant, stayed overnight and drove home the next day.

One more thing that might surprise you about Ramsay is the fact that he previously admitted his wife cooks the family meals, as their children think that his food is ‘too posh’, as he put it.

He also spoke about his favourite dish of hers: “I would say it would be her bolognese lasagna, where she makes this incredible bolognese sauce,

“It goes into the oven for about four and a half hours, really delicious indeed, pretty unique.”Featured Image Credit: Gordongram/Oscarramsay/Instagram

Gordon Ramsay accidentally let slip that he was expecting another child

Gordon Ramsay accidentally let slip that he was expecting another child

The celebrity chef and wife Tana kept their pregnancy secret for nine months, but Gordon hinted at their family plans earlier this year.

Gordon Ramsay revealed he had become a father for the sixth time this weekend after wife Tana gave birth to a baby boy.

The couple managed to keep the pregnancy under wraps for the last nine months before sharing the news with the world on Saturday (11 November).

Gordon, 57, excitedly announced their new bundle of joy Jesse James had completed the ‘Ramsay brigade‘ in a surprise Instagram post.

He said his son was the most ‘amazing birthday present’ before joking that as he and Tana, 49, now had three boys and three girls, their baby making days were officially ‘done’.

The pair are already parents to Megan, 25, twins Holly and Jack, 23, Tilly, 22, and Oscar, aged just four.

Although the news of Tana having expecting was only revealed to fans when the tot had arrived, it seems Gordon may have let the news slip earlier this year.

During an appearance on Heart Radio, he started discussing his family life with hosts Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden.

The celebrity chef confirmed how many children he had with Tana before apparently dropping a huge hint she was pregnant.

Gordon and Tana welcomed little Jesse into the world on 11 November.

He said: “Last time I looked there were five, there could be one more on the way. Seriously.”

Both Amanda and Jamie were taken aback by his admission, before Gordon quickly added: “Tana’s jeans aren’t fitting her.”

The Britain’s Got Talent judge pressed him on the topic, saying: “Is it Christmas or is it a baby?”

The dad-of-six then seemed to realise he might have put his foot in it and appeared to try and backtrack on his statement.

Gordon continued: “Do you know what, I don’t know yet. I’ll double-check when I get back.

“I’m going to Boots on the way back from here and I’ll double-check,” he joked.

Jamie picked up on the fact he may have ‘inadvertently revealed something he wasn’t meant to say’ during the chat live on-air.

The celebrity chef seemed to slip up and accidentally revealed his plans to expand his family.

Gordon then seemed to throw the presenters off the scent by insisting that Tana was just keen to have another child.

He said: “I’m like, ‘No, no, no’, It’s already hard enough when I take Oscar to school! ‘Hey, what’s your grandad’s name?’.”

The Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmare‘s star was 53-years-old when his son Oscar was born.

But he’s got plenty more years of doing the school run to go following the arrival of little Jesse.

The interview was filmed back in January this year, so it seems he may have accidentally spilled the beans on his and Tana’s plans to bring a sixth Ramsay into the world.
